Moon – Fish – Spirit mica, copper, steel, Swarovski crystal, mixed media 30x18x2″
What if the rocks could speak? Would they tell us about the the times when they were a riverbed and watched the fish migrating up and down the river for centuries? Or feeling the reflection of the moon off the water in the heart of a still summer night. There were mysterious petroglyphs in my mind, relating stories that we can no longer decipher while dreaming of a moon fish spirit at the center of such a tale.
The piece grew out of metal and mineral into a silhouette of a figure, a shimmering persona of shadow and reflected light.
